Estimates for work are given based on the information available.

If a local site survey has been carried out, i.e. a visit to see the exact situation of where/what work is involved, then the estimate will be more accurate.

I try to give estimates as accurately as possible, but on occassion unforeseen circumstances will cause a job to take longer or be more involved than estimated, hence the cost will increase. On the otherhand, it is also true that sometimes a job will take less time than originally estimated, this will also be reflected in the final price.

Payment is expected on completion of work in cash or by cheque. If the job is costly, e.g. house re-wire, then an advance payment to cover the cost of materials is required.
